Jamie Elliott - Vice President

Ms. Elliott began her career in the film industry as a casting director.

She eventually founded her own Hollywood casting agency in the late eighties. Within three years SUPERIOR CASTING quickly became one of the leading casting companies that major producers, studios and networks turned to.

During her years in casting Ms. Elliott was responsible for casting over 400 television commercials, feature films and commercials.

In 1990 Ms Elliott sold her highly lucrative casting business and co-founded HEMISPHERE ENTERTAINMENT with partner Ralph Portillo. She and Mr. Portillo became the creative force behind the initiation, development, packaging and production of their theatrical, network and cable motion pictures. They quickly compiled a formidable slate of potential projects. This began an alliance that is still going strong.

In addition to being actively involved in development and production of HEMISPHERE projects, Ms. Elliott oversees the operation of the corporation, which have included numerous films in which she has been producer.

She recently served as producer on the thriller “BARE WITNESS” starring Daniel Baldwin and Angie Everhart which is enjoying successful worldwide distribution through Columbia Tri-Star as well as and the thriller "NAKED LIES" starring Golden Globe nominee Steven Bauer and Shannon Tweed.

The soon to be released drama “DON’T LET GO” starring Academy Award nominee Katharine Ross which Ms. Elliott produced, recently took home awards at The Westchester International Film Festival and the Stony Brook Film Festival.

Ms. Elliott also produced the family films "BIG BROTHER TROUBLE” starring Dick Van Patten, Mario Lopez, and Melanie Chartoff, “THE LAST GREAT RIDE” starring Academy Award winner Ernest Borgnine, Eileen Brennan and Jason Hervey from TV’s “WONDER YEARS.”

Some of her other produced films include “BROKEN TRUST” starring Golden Globe nominee Edward Albert and Nick Cassavetes and “FEVER LAKE” starring Corey Haim and Bo Hopkins.

As a producer Ms. Elliott’s films have won awards at Worldfest Houston, The Flagstaff International Film Festival, The Charleston International Film Festival, The Santa Clarita International Film Festival as well as prestigious Cindy Award.

In December of 2003 Ms. Elliott produced the family film “UNDERCOVER KIDS” written by children’s book author Gibbs Davis and well known novelist Charles Salzberg. "THE GRIFT" starring John Savage and Billy Burke, "SET APART" staring Richard Roundtree and John Schneider,“ and "CLOUSURE: THE PROBLEM WITH MONEY" are the latset films to produced by Ms. Elliott and will all be released in 2008. .

Also slated for production is the edgy, Gen-X thriller “4 AM IN CHINATOWN” which is beginning to attract major name actors who are looking for great character roles such as this project presents.

Ms. Elliott’s suspense thriller “ACADEMY OF TERROR,” was shot in and around the Los Angeles area and was released in 2006.

Her film "THE GHOST CLUB" was released in December 2003.

Active in Women in Film and a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Ms. Elliott and her husband currently live in Los Angeles.
